
On August 1, the Socioeconomic ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Portal for the Philippines Network hosted its seventh installment, focusing on climate change, disaster risk management, and governance. Highlights included presentations from Dr. Sonny Domingo, PIDS Senior ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Fellow, on climate change and disaster-related loss and damage; Atty. Rebyanne Giselle Diaz, National Water Resources Board Water Rights Division Section Head, on water resource conflicts; and Asst. Prof. Samantha Geraldine Delos Santos, UP Los Baños-College of Public Affairs and Development, on sustainable infrastructure planning. PIDS President Dr. Aniceto C. Orbeta, Jr. also shared remarks on the socioeconomic impacts of climate change.
