
To expand access to critical socioeconomic research and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ (PIDS) Senior ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Specialist and SERP-P Coordinator Ezekiel Nicomedes visited St. Paul University Dumaguete and Negros Oriental State University.
At St. Paul University Dumaguete, Nicomedes conducted an orientation on SERP-P’s history as the Philippines' first electronic repository of socioeconomic resources. He highlighted the benefits of open access in sharing local research with a wider audience. The session, attended by the university’s research director and staff, marked a significant step toward making academic resources more accessible to the public.
At Negros Oriental State University, Nicomedes introduced SERP-P’s open access initiatives to the Office of International ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ and Linkages and the Office of University ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ. He also presented the Philippine Journal of Development, underscoring its significance for university researchers and faculty. These visits reflect PIDS' commitment to enhancing research accessibility and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
