This proceedings document captures the research presentations, discussions, and policy insights from the 12th SERP-P Network Knowledge-Sharing Forum and Roundtable Discussion on Indigenous Peoples and nation-building. It brings together studies examining protected area governance, indigenous entrepreneurship, traditional peacebuilding, cultural preservation, and community resilience, highlighting how indigenous knowledge and lived experiences can inform more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable development.

The proceedings also document exchanges among researchers, policymakers, development practitioners, and representatives of Indigenous Peoples on persistent challenges in translating policy commitments into meaningful outcomes for communities. Across these discussions, a key message emerged: development outcomes are more responsive and sustainable when Indigenous Peoples are recognized as partners whose knowledge, priorities, and experiences help shape policies and programs.

Organized by the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ through the Socioeconomic ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) Network, in partnership with Bukidnon State University and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, the forum reflects the Network’s continuing efforts to bridge research, policy, and community perspectives and promote knowledge for evidence-informed policymaking.
